Frankie Kent Hearts injury blow as centre back OUT of Celtic clash after Hibs knock
The Englishman joins fellow centre-back Craig Halkett on the sideline Frankie Kent has been ruled out of Hearts vs Celtic
After taking a hit to the knee, the centre back battled through the whole 90 minutes to bring his team to a draw. He is currently using crutches, and in the hopes that the issue is not too significant, he will be sent for a scan to determine the full scope of the issue.
He will, however, undoubtedly miss Sunday’s midday kickoff, according to the Edinburgh Evening News.The Englishman has been a virtual constant in the team this season, playing every minute until being rested for the Scottish Cup victory against Airdrie, so manager Steven Naismith will be dealt a severe blow by this.
After joining from Peterborough at the beginning of the campaign, Kent significantly improved a defence that had struggled in both open play and set pieces the previous year.
This season, Hearts have alternated between a back three and a four, but if they remain with the latter, Kye Rowles and Toby Sibbick will be Stephen Kingsley’s teammates on Wednesday.
Craig Halkett was scheduled to see a specialist this week owing to an injury as well.
