The released player will remain with Wycombe to regain fitness following a season marred by injuries.

Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has disclosed that the club will support Kane Vincent-Young in his journey to regain full fitness after it was confirmed that he will not continue with the Chairboys for the upcoming season.

Vincent-Young, who joined Wycombe on a one-year deal from Ipswich Town last year, featured in 21 matches during the 2023/24 campaign. However, his time in Buckinghamshire was marked by two extended periods on the sidelines due to injuries.

The former Colchester United player started the season strongly, appearing in the first seven league games before being sidelined for three months between September and December with a quadriceps injury.

Although he returned to action just before Christmas and was a regular in the squad, he suffered a recurrence of the same injury in late February during a match against Stevenage, forcing him off the pitch after just half an hour.

Reflecting on Vincent-Young’s tenure at Adams Park, Bloomfield commented, “Kane has faced unfortunate injuries, but he showed great promise whenever he played for us. We are committed to assisting him in his recovery journey and are eager to see what opportunities arise for him once he regains full fitness.”

Vincent-Young is among six players leaving Wycombe as their contracts expire in June, while six loaned players will return to their parent clubs. With a total of 12 departures, the manager confirmed that the club is actively engaged in recruitment efforts for the upcoming season, aiming to build on their achievements and continue progressing.
