Rob Couhig commented:

“I’m excited for Wycombe Wanderers’ future. Last year, I announced that I had started looking into a potential succession plan for our ownership. Since then, I’ve met with a significant number of highly qualified individuals. Mikheil and I met last fall and decided to discuss his potential role with the club. Mikheil and I shared similar values of communicating directly and honestly with each other, which was clear from our first meeting.

“I realized that his goals for the Club were similar to mine.” We became friends, which is important to me, despite the fact that we were frequently separated by a 12-hour time difference. The logical conclusion to those discussions occurred today with the transfer of Feliciana EFL Limited to his company.

“The Wycombe Wanderers Football Club Board will be joined by three new directors: Mikheil, Eduard Vyshnyakov, and Daniel Rice. The Board has asked me to express its and the Wanderers family’s gratitude for Missy Couhig and Pete Couhig’s outstanding work for the Club and community since June 2019.

“As for me, Mikheil has asked me to continue as Chairman during the ownership transition, and I have agreed. Please join me in welcoming Mikheil, Eduard, and Dan to our club.”

“We aim to re-open and build a leading high-performance academy which will become an essential part of our long-term strategy of developing a club that consistently performs at the top level.”

Mikheil Lomtadze commented:

“I am grateful to Rob and deeply honored by the opportunity to lead the club and contribute to Wycombe Wanderers’ future success. You rarely meet people who form an immediate friendship from the first conversation. Meeting Rob in the fall of last year was one of those events in my life.

“I’d like to thank Rob for his friendship and trust, and we’re delighted that he’s agreed to remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors to continue playing an important role in the Club and assist with the smooth transition. I’d also like to acknowledge Missy and Pete Couhig’s contributions and thank them for their dedication to the club, along with Rob.

“To Wycombe fans, I do not and will not shirk my responsibility for the Club in front of its supporters, staff, and players. Our goal is to achieve long-term success on and off the field while also establishing a financially viable club. The football world is rapidly evolving, and our top priority will be to integrate data analytics and technology to boost the Club’s performance to new heights. I am also a strong believer in youth development, which will be central to the Club’s vision.

“We intend to reopen and build a leading high-performance academy, which will be an important part of our long-term strategy of developing a club that consistently performs at the highest level. We are excited to collaborate with the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters’ Trust as we lead the club into its next chapter. I’m excited to get started, and I hope to see everyone at Adams Park for the start of the 2024/25 season.
