Dale Taylor impresses Wycombe manager Matt Bloomfield in draw

Following his goal in the most recent 1-1 draw against Lincoln City, Dale Taylor is something that Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield wants him to “score more goals.”

The Northern Irishman had only scored four goals in the league, and it was his sixth goal of the season since signing on loan from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

Not only was it his second goal for the Chairboys at Adams Park with a header against the Imps, but it was also his first against Leyton Orient back in August.

“I’m happy for him as I honestly believe he is a top player and a top boy,” Bloomfield remarked.

“I appreciate his approach to training, his work ethic, and his desire to learn new things.

“I felt he was outstanding, and he will do anything you ask him to do, including playing in multiple spots up top.

“He hasn’t scored more goals for us, but he’s unlucky to be a top player.”

“We hope he scores more goals.”

Taylor had braces against Fleetwood Town in the league and Fulham U21s in the EFL Trophy in addition to his goals against Lincoln and Leyton Orient, respectively.

He also believed he had scored in the team’s October 2-2 tie with Peterborough United, but an own goal by Ephron Mason-Clark denied him.
