The 26-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at the U’s, has signed a short-term contract with the League One team, where he will be coached by Matt Bloomfield, the former Colchester manager.

Lubala, who spent a brief season playing for Colchester under Bloomfield, has spent the most recent season playing football with Burton Albion, a League One rival, where he has six goals this year.

Lubala posted on social media, saying, “Happy to sign for @wwfcofficial.” Being able to call Adams Park home and playing there excites me.

I would want to express my sincere gratitude to the club for making this trip possible for my family and me.

“I aspire to bring pride to the entire Wycombe community—those residing in Buckinghamshire as well as those in Europe, South America, and other regions!” Hurry up, Chairboys!

August 2022 saw Lubala go from Championship team Blackpool to Colchester for a season-long loan.

The former young player for Crawley Town made an immediate impact, scoring in the team’s 1-1 draw with Hartlepool United on his club debut in September of last year.

However, he was only allowed to play in eight league games for the U’s, with just three of those games being starts.

While Lubala was at the JobServe Community Stadium, he appeared in 12 league and cup games for the U’s.
