“Sign the contract”: Ryan Barnett and James McClean implores the 22-year-old to commit to

After winning promotion to League One on Saturday afternoon, Wrexham will now embark on an exciting transfer window.

We must express our gratitude to Mansfield Town for their 4-1 victory over Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.

With that win, Wrexham’s 6-0 triumph over Forest Green Rovers turned out to be the one that won them promotion.

Wrexham’s 2-0 lead over League Two’s bottom team had the STōK Cae Ras humming with anticipation thanks to goals from Elliot Lee and Paul Mullin.

After an own goal by Ryan Inniss, Mullin added another, and Wrexham was ahead 4-0 even before the halftime siren went off.

In the second half, Jack Marriott and Ryan Barnett also scored, adding the icing on top of the Wrexham cake.

Plans for the upcoming season can now truly begin, even though Wrexham still has a few games left before promotion is decided.

The players at Wrexham want to sign Arthur Okonkwo
This encompasses the summer transfer window, as Wrexham is currently seeking to acquire significant

The club’s progress won’t slow down anytime soon, according to Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, and Phil Parkinson will undoubtedly be considering some additions.

Since goalie Arthur Okonkwo has been outstanding this season, one of them might already be inside the building.

The enormous shot stopper, who came on loan from Arsenal, has continuously performed admirably for Wrexham.

Okonkwo’s contract at Arsenal expires this summer, so Wrexham will undoubtedly give him top priority and look into signing him to a permanent contract.

Okonkwo has now taken to social media to celebrate Wrexham’s promotion, but Ryan Barnett and James McClean have both taken over the post.

Barnett urged Okonkwo to pledge his future to the team, saying, “sign da ting,” and McClean responded, “sign the contract big boy.”

Although Okonkwo isn’t expected to sign the contract just yet, we wouldn’t be shocked if an offer to do so were made soon.

What Arsenal thinks of Okonkwo
Despite being a member of Arsenal’s roster since he was eight years old, Okonkwo has never played in the first team for the Gunners.

After stints on loan at Sturm Graz and Crewe Alexandra, Okonkwo now seems to have settled in Wrexham.

Not only would the 22-year-old provide continuity for Wrexham after this season, but he may also have significant future resale value.

Importantly, Football London revealed earlier in the season that Okonkwo will be free to leave Arsenal and that they have no intention of offering him a new contract.

Given how well Okonkwo has performed this season, perhaps Arsenal’s plans have changed, but it appears that Okonkwo should now relocate out of North London.

Although it would be wonderful to see Okonkwo remain at Wrexham and grow into a star for years to come, after a strong season, rival teams will undoubtedly show interest.

Hopefully, Barnett and McClean will be able to persuade him to sign on.
