According to an online source [7 May], the Hammers had spies there when the 26-year-old substitute scored during a 2-2 draw at Napoli on Sunday, April 28.

The Irons are expected to encounter stiff opposition from Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and freshly promoted Leicester City.

Roma are willing to let the former Chelsea star go this summer to fund a permanent transfer for Romelu Lukaku, which is expected to cost around £30 million.

Will West Ham United sign Tammy Abraham this summer?

Despite Lucas Paqueta, Mohammed Kudus, and Jarrod Bowen being part of the Hammers’ attacking lineup, it is evident that a new striker is required.

Michail Antonio has been a long-standing servant since arriving at the London Stadium in 2015, but his proneness to injury and a total of six league goals this season has spurred some fans to call for a replacement.

While the Jamaican can still be a backup next season, he may be a casualty of a West Ham reconstruction this summer as Julen Lopetegui is expected to replace David Moyes as manager.

Abraham appears to be a fairly sensible target. The 26-year-old has plenty of Premier League experience from his time with Chelsea, and game time in Italy may be difficult to come by if Lukaku’s move is made permanent.
