Two managers have just agreed deals to replace Moyes at West Ham, Sullivan confidant claims

Two managers have reportedly reached an agreement in principle to replace David Moyes at West Ham United this summer.

West Ham manager David Moyes’ future may not be decided until the end of the season, according to recent reports.

Well, it appears that claim was not entirely true. The Hammers owners are clearly looking for a new manager right now.

We can be certain that this is true because the stories are being leaked to all of the usual sources by club members.

West Ham United FC v Bayer 04 Leverkusen: Quarter-Final Second Leg - UEFA Europa League 2023/24

West Ham’s fall from grace in 2024 has been spectacularly painful to witness. When we beat Arsenal on December 9th, we sat in 6th spot in the Premier League table, six points off the Champions League places with a game in hand.

However, we have regressed badly since then, winning a pathetic four of our last 21 games in all competitions.

Moyes has to shoulder most of the blame for that poor run of form, especially after the disastrous January transfer window.

After all, the responsibility falls on his shoulders. And now it appears that his time in East London is over.

Who will succeed him, though?

Two experienced managers are reportedly vying for the Hammers manager position.

Two managers reach agreements to replace David Moyes at West Ham.

The Scot is clearly a dead man walking now, given his team’s poor performance over the last three months.

And two men in particular appear to be strong favourites to succeed David Moyes at the London Stadium.

AS Roma v Ajax - UEFA Europa League Quarter Final: Leg Two

According to David Sullivan confidants Claret and Hugh, Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui and Lille manager Paulo Fonseca have reached an agreement in principle to become the new West Ham manager.

According to recent reports, the Hammers have offered Lopetegui a three-year contract to take over at the London Stadium.

West Ham are also reportedly interested in 51-year-old Fonseca.

Fonseca is the clear choice for me. The Lille manager employs an appealing style of attacking, free-flowing football.

Unfortunately, this cannot be said for the 57-year-old Spaniard.

With famous board source C&H pushing the ‘both managers agree deals to replace Moyes’ narrative, I believe we’ll end up with either Fonseca or Lopetegui.

Let’s hope that if that’s the case, we choose the former over the latter this summer.
