Man United’s attempt to sabotage West Ham’s summer transfer window of one of the Premier League’s best players has dealt a fatal blow.

Killer blow as Man United hijack West Ham's plan to sign one of the Premier League's top stars

West Ham would be the first team to look at and Man United would be the last if you were to mimic a team’s transfer activity.

Tim Steidten, the technical director of West Ham, has established himself as one of the best football recruiters.

Prior to INEOS’s arrival, which promised significant changes, Manchester United’s transfer business was among the worst in the premier league.

The Hammers made a wise summertime acquisition of Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez with their Declan Rice money.

And the unbeatable Germans Steidten built the team that is Bayer Leverkusen.

This summer, West Ham and Manchester United both require significant rebuilds.

Steidten sets benchmark for recruitment

The Irons are set to announce record £368m turnover and are expected to raise another £100m plus from the sale of the likes of Lucas Paqueta and Nayef Aguerd.

With 10–12 signings needed in the summer window, that will serve the East Londoners well.

In the meantime, Manchester United is currently attempting to restructure their recruitment by bringing in Dan Ashworth from Newcastle.

Furthermore, it appears that the INEOS plan includes emulating West Ham’s “pearl diver,” Steidten.

Because Man United has dealt West Ham a fatal blow by sabotaging their attempt to sign a top Premier League player.

Max Kilman, the captain and defender for Wolves, is that man.

Both the Hammers and the Red Devils have made it a top priority to sign a new center-back this summer.

Man United steals West Ham’s Kilman plan, dealing a Kil-ler blow.

West Ham is in desperate need of a new starting centre half because Thilo Kehrer is expected to sign a permanent contract with Monaco, Angelo Ogbonna is probably in his final season, inconsistent Aguerd is expected to be sold, and Kurt Zouma is dealing with chronic knee problems.

Man United, who might even require two after having to bring back Jonny Evans, can be said to feel the same.

In January, Kilman was strongly linked to a move to West Ham.

Gary O’Neill, the manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers and a former midfielder for the Hammers, greatly encouraged his former team by acknowledging that he must sell in order to buy.

However, no action was taken because PSR imposed a quiet window on the Premier League.

Journalist Ben Jacobs said that Kilman’s move to West Ham was “one to watch.”

Furthermore, Kilman is highly sought after by West Ham, according to Ally McCoist.

The Times claimed that Manchester United is now planning to try and beat the Hammers to the talented 26-year-old, which will cause the Hammers great concern.

Times makes crushing claim

“Man United have prioritised bringing in a defender and a striker, and Marc Guéhi is on a shortlist that also includes Max Kilman, the Wolverhampton Wanderers captain,” The Times reports.

“Kilman is also a target for West Ham United.

“Manchester United have had problems in defence and have been unable to pick their first-choice back four for most of the campaign. Lisandro Martínez and Victor Lindelof were ruled out for more than a month with calf and hamstring injuries respectively.”

The only hope here is that Guehi is Man United’s prime target and that leaves the door ajar for West Ham to get Kilman.

But with European football unlikely to be on offer at West Ham next season, Steidten may finds he struggles to attract established stars such as Kilman.
