Callum Marshall’s father likes posts as West Ham arranges West Brom loan move.

Callum Marshall’s father has responded on social media after it was reported that the teenage striker will return to West Ham from West Brom, despite the fact that his loan term has not ended.

West Ham reported on their official website on April 9 that the 19-year-old has returned to London. He will be allowed to play for the Hammers’ Under-21s, but not the first team.

However, the loan deal remains in existence, and West Brom reserve the right to request Marshall return to the Hawthorns if necessary.

Marshall’s father, Ciaran, reacted to his son’s return to West Ham by liking a number of tweets on his personal X account.

Callum Marshall’s growth is best served back at West Ham.

Marshall’s loan stay at West Brom has not gone as well as anyone might have expected.

The youthful striker had only three first-team appearances for Carlos Corberan, all off the bench, the most recent being in a 2-0 defeat to Southampton in February.

This is despite the fact that West Brom’s fellow first-team strikers Brandon Thomas-Asante, Josh Maja, and Daryl Dike were all injured during Marshall’s tenure at the club, with winger and captain Jed Wallace preferring the teenager up front at a period when all three were missing.

Marshall has been excluded from four of the last five matchday squads. As Maja’s fitness improves, the teenager’s chances of being included may become more difficult.

Marshall can now resume his pursuit of the Premier League 2’s top scorer award, where he remains out in front on 16 goals this term despite not making an appearance in the competition since December.
