Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur is now leading the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Dan Rigge ahead of the summer transfer window.

Over the coming weeks, Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou will be getting ready for the summer transfer window. While strengthening their first-team roster is a top priority, they will also be trying to sign some of the top young players from throughout Europe. They’ve advanced in the race to sign a 2006-born talent because improving the senior team is only as important as building for the future.

Italian reporter Romano has now verified that Tottenham is in the lead in the competition to sign West Ham’s young midfield player Rigge. Spurs are currently ahead of four clubs who are reportedly interested in signing him. Although teams are expected to test the waters in the upcoming weeks, the young midfielder is reportedly happy at the Hammers.

Following an outstanding first season for the team, Rigge signed scholarship terms at the London Stadium back in 2023. The youthful midfield player scored twice in the previous season, one of which came against Spurs, who are currently pressing for his transfer across London. Later, in October 2023, the 18-year-old tied the knot for the first time as a professional with the Hammers.

The young player, who was released by Manchester City in 2022, is reportedly being tracked by Arsenal and Manchester United, according to an ESPN report. Some of the biggest clubs in England are currently fighting to pry him away from West Ham, even though his current contract has two years left on it.
