According to reports, West Ham will compete with Premier League rivals to sign a winger for £70 million.
It’s clear that West Ham needs a huge window because their already thin roster will probably get even thinner this summer. In addition, a number of positions need to be filled, including the left wing, which they attempted to fill in January but were unsuccessful.
Pedro Goncalves was the other player they were supposedly interested in, despite Osman and Jota being their primary targets.

According to TeamTALK, the Hammers are once again considering a move for the 25-year-old, but it will cost an incredible £69 million to sign him. Regretfully, Aston Villa has also expressed interest in Goncalves, so they are not the only ones who think highly of him.
They may have an advantage in the competition for his signature because they will almost definitely play European football the following season. The Hammers’ best chance is probably to sign Lisbon’s manager Amorim, though the team’s recent negotiations with him don’t seem to be going well.
Signing a player of his caliber would undoubtedly send a strong message to the manager, whomever that may be, that they will have the owners’ full support when this season concludes.
