Two managers agree deals to replace David Moyes at West Ham, Confidant of Sullivan

It has been reported that two managers have struck deals in principle to take David Moyes’ place at West Ham United this summer.

There has been a suggestion that West Ham manager David Moyes’s future won’t be determined until the end of the current campaign.

It appears that the assertion was not totally accurate. It’s obvious that the Hammers’ owners are currently looking for a new manager.

We can be positive that this is accurate because insiders are leaking the stories to all the regular outlets.

West Ham United FC v Bayer 04 Leverkusen: Quarter-Final Second Leg - UEFA Europa League 2023/24

Observing West Ham’s decline in 2024 has been excruciatingly painful. After our victory over Arsenal on December 9th, we were six points out of the Champions League spots with one game remaining.

Since then, though, we have drastically declined, winning just four of our previous 21 games across all competitions.

The majority of the blame for that bad run of results falls on Moyes, particularly in light of the disastrous January transfer window.

It is all his fault, after all. It seems as though his time in East London is running out.

But who will succeed him?

It appears that there are two very experienced managers leading the race to be the Hammers’ manager of record.

Two managers make deals to replace David Moyes at West Ham.

Considering how poorly his team has performed over the past three months, the Scot is obviously a dead man walking at this point.

In particular, it seems that two candidates are front-runners to replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.

AS Roma v Ajax - UEFA Europa League Quarter Final: Leg Two

Claret and Hugh, two close friends of David Sullivan, have revealed that agreements have been reached in principle for Spanish coach Julien Lopetegui and Lille manager Paulo Fonseca to take over as West Ham’s manager.

According to a recent report, Lopetegui has been offered a three-year contract by the Hammers to take over at the London Stadium.

It has also been reported that the 51-year-old Fonseca is very much in the West Ham backfield’s sights.

Any day, I would pick Fonseca over the other one. The Lille manager plays an appealing style of attacking, fluid football.

Unfortunately, the 57-year-old Spaniard cannot be said to be in the same category.

Considering that renowned board source C&H is pushing the story that “both managers agree deals to replace Moyes,” I believe it’s highly likely that Fonseca or Lopetegui will be appointed.

If that’s the case, let’s hope that this summer we choose to appoint the former over the latter.
