West Brom manager Carlos Corberan is being considered as a potential target for newly promoted Premier League team Leicester City, should Enzo Maresca depart, according to talkSPORT.
Maresca is becoming Chelsea’s preferred candidate to replace Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea has reportedly requested permission from Leicester to speak with Maresca, and the situation is evolving rapidly. Consequently, Leicester is preparing for life without Maresca, with West Brom’s Corberan on their shortlist.
Under Corberan, the Baggies secured a playoff spot in the Championship this season, and he is highly regarded at the Hawthorns.
Previously a coach at Leeds United, Corberan might find the opportunity to manage in the Premier League with Leicester highly appealing. For West Brom, losing Corberan would be a significant setback, and the club may try to fend off any interest from Leicester.
Corberan, 41, has been managing West Brom since 2022.
