BREAKING NEWS: Aston Villa parts ways with eight players, including a new West Brom signing

Eight youngsters have left Aston Villa following the end of the season, as the Premier League confirmed the release lists for all its clubs.

Among those departing is Chisom Afoka, who joined Villa from West Bromwich Albion in 2020. The 20-year-old began last season on loan at Bradford City, making only two League Two appearances before returning to Villa in January.

Frankie Ealing has also left, having made three EFL Trophy appearances and nine in the Premier League 2 last term. Ealing joined Villa at the age of six, signed a scholarship in December 2019, and secured a professional contract in July 2022.

Creative midfielder Taylor-Jay Hart is also set to find a new club. He signed as a scholar in July 2020 and then a professional contract in July 2022.

Aaron O’Reilly, who joined Villa from St Patrick’s Athletic in July 2020, is leaving a year after signing an extension.

Teddy Rowe departs two years after inking his professional deal in July 2022.

Additionally, under-18 players Jack McDowell, Dylan Mitchell, and Abube Onuchukwu have been released.
