Shilen Patel Injects £1 Million into West Brom Training Upgrade
West Bromwich Albion’s new owner, Shilen Patel, has made a significant investment in the club by injecting £1 million into upgrading their training facilities. This move is part of Patel’s broader strategy to rejuvenate the club following his recent takeover.
The investment focuses on enhancing the training pitches at the Walsall-based facility. Specifically, pitch one will undergo substantial improvements to match the quality of the surface at The Hawthorns, the club’s home ground. This upgrade is expected to benefit the team significantly, providing head coach Carlos Corberan with an elite pitch for training sessions.
Patel, a Florida-based entrepreneur, recently acquired an 87.8% stake in West Brom for £60 million, concluding Guochuan Lai’s tenure as the club’s owner. Patel’s Bilkul Football Group is committed to supporting the club financially, aiming to restore West Brom to its former glory.
