Granit Xhaka is thriving at Bayer Leverkusen and couldn’t be happier. The seasoned midfielder is proving to be a great addition for Xabi Alonso’s team after the Switzerland international departed Arsenal in the summer for a whopping £21.4 million (Sky Sports).

The 31-year-old is having a fantastic season on his own, but he is also contributing significantly to the team’s amazing run at the crown, which has seen them go 23 games without a loss and top the Bundesliga standings, 11 points ahead of Bayern Munich.

Granit Xhaka surprised Xabi Alonso with a humorous goal celebration against Mainz on Friday night. Xhaka has been playing well lately and scored a crucial early goal against Mainz. After barely three minutes, the midfield player scored an incredible goal, but his celebration brought the biggest smiles to the faces of the spectators.

Xhaka pretended to have a hamstring strain in order to annoy his manager and coaching staff. Alonso was clearly concerned before realizing the joke was on him.
