After a seemingly endless wait, Game 1 of the NBA Finals finally tips off between the Celtics and Mavericks tonight at TD Garden.

It’s a big night for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, who enter their second Finals together — but their first as clear favorites — with plenty of legacy implications on the line.
The Celtics will have their hands full defensively trying to stop Dallas superstar Luka Doncic and old friend (depending on who you ask) Kyrie Irving, who have formed a lethal backcourt duo throughout the playoffs.
Tip-off is set for 8:30 at TD Garden and on ABC.
