The departure of striker Tjay De Barr has been confirmed by Wycombe Wanderers.

The 23-year-old Gibraltarian has re-signed with Lincoln Red Imps, the team that originally traded him to the Chairboys, provided the required paperwork is completed.

He signed with Adams Park in 2021, and he scored on his debut in the League Cup second round—a 2-2 draw away at Stevenage.

After his last-minute equalizer sent the match into extra time, he scored the game-winning goal in the ensuing penalty shootout, and his heroics ultimately advanced Wycombe to a third-round matchup with Manchester City, the competition’s holders.

After that campaign, there was a brief loan to Non League Eastleigh, and in the 2022–2023 season, there were more regular appearances.

He would go on to feature 22 times for Wycombe that season, in which he scored he scored his first league strike for the club in a 2-1 loss away at Burton Albion.

However, injuries, a loss of form and sporadic appearances have been a common feature for the Gibraltar international, who played 15 times this campaign.

His last appearance in a Wanderers shirt came in the 3-2 home victory against the Fulham U21s in the EFL Trophy on December 5.

A statement on the Lincoln Red Imps website reads: “Tjay came through our youth ranks before leaving in 2019 and would later rejoin a year later.

“His potential continued to shine through which caught the eye of the League One side in 2021.

“An important experience as he continues his footballing journey with his boyhood club and welcome him back with open arms.

“We would like to thank Wycombe for allowing this transfer to go through and wish them the very best this season.”
