After laying away his racquet in the latter part of 2022, tennis star Roger Federer said he does not miss the game. Throughout his lengthy career, the Swiss superstar shattered record after record, but in retirement, he has genuinely retired from the game.
Federer announced his retirement in September 2022 after winning 20 Grand Slams. Since then, he has been spending time with his family and doing other things.

When GQ asked if he missed playing, all he could say was, “Not really, actually.” With a giggle, he rationalized, “My back was fine yesterday.”
Following his retirement, Federer was questioned about his feelings.”I’m really relieved, if that makes any sense,” he said. “I mean, my knee hasn’t been well for the past three years. You sensed that the end was near. And so, when it’s all over and you’re officially retired and over the line, you take a long breath and think, ‘Wow, okay, that was nice.’

Throughout his career, Federer engaged in many amazing matches with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. However, he is currently forced to watch as the former, in particular, is chasing down several of his records.
On the other hand, the 42-year-old rarely watches live versions of the sport he is an expert in.
“I watch the highlights,” he said. I find it difficult to watch an entire game since I’m always chasing after the kids. Perhaps I saw a complete match last year.
“Aside from that, it’s highlights, and I review the results daily. To be honest, I’m shocked. I believe I still know too many players and I want to watch how they fare, even though I had planned to simply check out and not give it any attention.”
“I mean, obviously you’re aware when they’re in the finals or you’re aware when Rafa comes back or you’re aware when Novak breaks another record,” he said, referring to Djokovic and Nadal’s accomplishments. All is well, you know? However, I refuse to rearrange my schedule because, well, I have to witness this match.
