Premier League Side Offered Big Chance to Sign Dortmund’s Marco Reus.

Marco Reus, an attacker for Borussia Dortmund, is reportedly being offered a contract by a Premier League club this summer.
After spending 12 years with Dortmund, the 34-year-old has amassed 415 appearances across all competitions, earning him legendary status with the team.

During this time, Reus has scored 167 goals, provided 128 assists, and won four championships, including two DFB-Pokals.

With 21 starts and seven substitute appearances this season, the BVB captain has contributed six goals and seven assists, solidifying his place in the German team’s starting lineup.

Reus has been linked to several teams prior to the summer transfer window, but it is generally assumed that he will leave Dortmund when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

Borussia Monchengladbach, where he played for three years before to joining BVB, has been mentioned as a possible destination for him to return. MLS teams and Turkish powerhouse Trabzonspor have also reportedly expressed interest.

Reus’s services have, however, reportedly been offered to Premier League teams, including West Ham, according to Football Insider.

According to the article, the West Ham are looking to recruit more attackers because they anticipate losing Mohammed Kudus, Jarrod Bowen, or Lucas Paqueta in the summer.

Having only joined the team from Ajax last summer, Kudus is regarded as the most likely to stay at the London Stadium, while West Ham would only consider serious bids for star player Bowen, who inked a new seven-year contract with the team in October of last year.

However, due to rumors of interest from Premier League winners Manchester City, speculation on Paqueta’s future has been rampant for a number of months.

It’s believed that West Ham won’t likely turn down reasonable offers for the Brazil international, but Man City might have to pay upwards of £80 million.

Since joining West Ham from Lyon in August 2022 for a club-record £51 million, Paqueta has proven to be an important member of the team, amassing 10 goals and 13 assists in 70 games.

With 29 games played thus far this season, the 26-year-old, who assisted the Hammers in winning the Europa Conference League the previous season, has contributed five goals and six assists. He has a contract with the London Stadium through June 2027.
