Premier League captain who tore them apart this season will be signed by West Ham at £43 million

According to reports, West Ham United is keeping an eye on a Premier League captain as they attempt to maintain their remarkable summer spending.

Last summer, Tim Steidten and David Moyes eventually proved to be a productive team, as the club made excellent use of the Declan Rice funds.

Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus were two exceptional acquisitions from Ajax, players who are both now crucial.

James Ward-Prowse has emerged as a key player for the team, and Konstantinos Mavropanos is frequently included in Moyes’ starting lineup as well.

So, even though it’s very early to say whether the club should make a move for Kalvin Phillips, there’s every reason to think they might have another great summer.

Although adding a new defender or two could help, there don’t appear to be any obvious gaps in West Ham’s lineup at the moment, barring the arrival of a new striker.

However, it appears that one such chance might be too good to pass up, as talkSPORT is now speculating that West Ham might make a move for Morgan Gibbs-White in the future.

This summer, West Ham is thinking of acquiring Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White.

In order to prevent another profit and sustainability breach, Forest would soon need to sell a great player in order to earn money, and their captain might be a prime contender.

This rumor claims that Gibbs-White is included in a list of potential substitutes for Lucas Paqueta, a target for Manchester City.

Although West Ham supporters would be devastated to lose their star player twice in a row, acquiring the £43 million midfield player would seem like a wise course of action in that event.

Of course, Gibbs-White, a 24-year-old who still has a lot of opportunity to grow, was excellent in Forest’s 2-0 victory over West Ham last month.

This summer, West Ham might undoubtedly perform worse, and the captain of Forest would be a similarly adaptable choice to Paqueta.

Assuming he remains in charge—and there’s no reason to think he won’t—David Moyes could easily integrate Gibbs-White into his squad, another player who could strengthen the team’s leadership.

Having said that, a current West Ham player has acknowledged that he has received too many bookings this season.
