NBA YoungBoy Lost His Appeal, Feds Can Now Use Video Of Him Holding ...

SALT LAKE CITY — Rapper NBA YoungBoy has agreed to relocate his federal firearm case from Louisiana to Utah, where he will admit guilt to a charge related to gun possession, as reported by The Advocate.

The rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was initially facing a potential sentence of up to a decade in prison due to his indictment for possessing firearms as a convicted felon. For several months, Gaulden has been held at Weber County Jail, where he is also facing charges connected to a prescription drug case.

In May, Gaulden’s bail was set at $100,000. He faces a staggering number of nearly 50 charges after his arrest on April 16, which followed a search warrant executed at his residence near Huntsville. Authorities allege that the rapper was involved in operating a prescription drug ring that illegally acquired medications from multiple state pharmacies.

The gun-related charges trace back to a video shoot in Baton Rouge in 2020. During this shoot, law enforcement received tips about individuals carrying weapons. Gaulden is accused of possessing a .45-caliber Glock and a 9mm handgun during this event.
