Ipswich Town desperate for deal with attacker

Daniel Jebbison of Sheffield United is reportedly a target for Ipswich Town during the summer transfer window.

Although there are expectations for the 20-year-old to eventually rise to the position of regular first-team star at Bramall Lane, he has not yet cemented that status.

Due to a combination of illness and injury, Jebbison has not played for the Blades in the 2023–24 season. Regular blood tests carried out by the team have revealed that he had a blood clot.

The supporters of the Yorkshire club had hoped that the attacker would be involved in the latter stages of the campaign, but he has not been named in a matchday squad for the final three Premier League games.

Early in his senior career, Jebbison enjoyed loan stints in League One with Burton Albion and National League North with Chorley.

Jebbison of Sheffield United to Ipswich Eye?

Journalist Alan Nixon claims that Jebbison may be headed for a lucrative summer transfer away from Championship-bound Sheffield United.

The 20-year-old is reportedly being pursued by Premier League contender Ipswich in anticipation of a potential return to the top division.

At the end of the season, Jebbison’s Bramall Lane contract would expire, allowing him to transfer for free to Portman Road.

Although neither Chris Wilder nor Blades CEO Stephen Bettis has made it known that they want to keep Jebbison with the team, no formal agreement has been made as of yet.

Jebbison was reportedly refusing to sign a new contract earlier this year in the hopes of signing a contract with a Premier League team this summer.

Near the Premier League is Ipswich

Under the direction of Kielan McKenna, Ipswich are headed for back-to-back second-place finishes after winning 98 points in League One and getting promoted the following season.

The Tractor Boys, who led three times at the MKM Stadium on Saturday, had to settle for a point against Hull City, but they still have a chance to finish in the top two.

Ipswich, who currently hold third place in the Championship standings, are aware that winning their next two games by four points will secure their long-awaited promotion back to the Premier League.

Considering the Tractor Boys’ attacking options in advance of Jebbison’s possible summer arrival, first-choice player George Hirst recently made a comeback from a hamstring injury. Other new signings during January included Kieffer Moore, who is only on loan from Bournemouth, and Ali Al Hamadi.
