A Global Journey Through Sound
The tour commenced on February 4 in Amsterdam and has since traversed major European cities such as Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Berlin, Paris, London, Leeds, and Edinburgh. In March, Mogwai captivated audiences in Asia with performances in Bangkok, Osaka, Tokyo, and Taipei. The North American leg began on April 7 in Washington, D.C., featuring stops in cities including Brooklyn, Boston, Montreal, Chicago, Los Angeles, and concluded on May 4 in Dallas.
The Bad Fire: A New Chapter
The Bad Fire, Mogwai’s eleventh studio album, showcases their signature atmospheric soundscapes. The album features tracks like “God Gets You Back,” which includes lyrics penned by guitarist Barry Burns’ seven-year-old daughter, and “Lion Rumpus,” accompanied by a video directed by longtime collaborator Antony Crook.
Upcoming Highlights
Following the North American tour, Mogwai will return to the UK for two special performances at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on May 17 and 18. The tour continues with appearances at European festivals, including Tomavistas in Madrid on May 29 and La Prima Estate in Italy on June 20.
