Ex Guns N’ Roses Manager Announces New TV Series on 1980s Sunset Strip
Vicky Hamilton, the former manager of Guns N’ Roses, has confirmed that she is developing a new television series focused on the vibrant music scene of the 1980s Sunset Strip. Hamilton, who previously managed major rock acts like Mötley Crüe, Poison, and Guns N’ Roses during their formative years, has long been a prominent figure in rock history. She also authored the 2016 book *Appetite for Dysfunction: A Cautionary Tale* and created a notable 1993 painting of Axl Rose.
In a recent interview with Loudwire, Hamilton revealed that her upcoming project will explore the Sunset Strip’s rock scene, drawing comparisons to the series *Daisy Jones & the Six*, but with an ’80s twist. While details about the series are still under wraps, Hamilton mentioned that it is in the early stages of development, with a well-known writer involved.
The series aims to capture the essence of Los Angeles during that iconic decade, though it may not directly feature real band names due to legal constraints. Hamilton also expressed her interest in casting Elle Fanning and Finn Wolfhard, though casting decisions have not yet been made.
Meanwhile, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash recently disclosed that he has little memory of his early performances due to past alcohol use. He is currently focusing on his solo project, a blues covers album titled *Orgy Of The Damned*, but anticipates a busy year ahead with Guns N’ Roses in 2025.
