Every since Luka Doncic came into the league, after getting drafted by the Atlanta Hawks and traded to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Trae Young, the Slovenian has set the NBA on fire, as he has proven to be a finished product and one of the greatest scorers the world has ever seen.

With the Dirk Nowitzki era coming to an end, longtime team Mark Cuban and company had to find a new face of the franchise, and it didn’t take long to figure out that Doncic was their guy.

It was a seamless transition from the franchise’s greatest player to someone who will arguably end up taking that distinction from the German superstar, as Doncic continues to set the bar higher and higher with each passing season.

The only thing that has been missing for Doncic is a Larry O’Brien Trophy, with this season proving to be the closest he’s ever come to winning an NBA title, as the Mavericks have now advanced to the NBA Finals after destroying the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Doncic put on a show in Game 5 by basically winning the game with 20 first-quarter points, where the Mavericks never looked back, which has drawn the attention of Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports, who believes the 25-year-old is the best tough shot maker the league has ever seen via The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
