Crewe Alexandra v Charlton preview

Charlton Athletic’s Under-21 team will embark on their third away game in nine days on Saturday afternoon, as they head to Crewe Alexandra with a kickoff scheduled for 1 pm BST.

Despite clinching the London Senior Cup in late April, the young Addicks have faced setbacks in their recent outings, suffering consecutive 4-2 defeats. Their latest match was a rollercoaster encounter at Ashton Gate, where Chris Lock’s side twice leveled the score through goals from Patrick Casey and Ryan Huke, only to ultimately succumb to Bristol City.

Patrick Casey, who has notched an impressive 40 goals this season, will aim to bolster his tally, with academy striker Micah Mbick closely trailing with 42 goals.

Crewe Alexandra currently occupies the bottom spot in the Professional Development League Two – North table, having endured a heavy 6-0 defeat against Sheffield United on Monday.
