SHOCKING NEWS: Chaos Following Arrest of Longhorns Defender

NFL scouts described T’Vondre Sweat as a “Party Animal” and “Class Clown” before his arrest in Austin following a drink and drive accident involving his former Longhorns teammate S’Maje Burrell.

T’Vondre Sweat, the former Texas Longhorns football defensive tackle and recipient of the 2023 Outland Trophy, was arrested in Austin on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Meanwhile, Texas linebacker S’Maje Burrell was revealed as the driver involved in a rear-end accident over the weekend.

Prior to the 2024 draft, some NFL scouts noticed concerning behavior from Sweat, labeling him as a “party animal” and “class clown.”

Reports from inside the Longhorns organization indicated that Burrell, a four-star recruit and significant addition to the 2023 class, is no longer part of the team.

According to an incident report from the Austin Police Department, Burrell was identified as the driver of the vehicle that rear-ended Sweat’s car during the DWI incident. Longhorns Head Coach Steve Sarkisian stated, “We’re aware of the situation involving S’Maje Burrell and have suspended him indefinitely from all team activities for conduct detrimental to the program.”
