Report: European champions now tracking Sunderland’s £15k-a-week ‘super talent’ over January move

This month, Jack Clarke has found himself on the radar of yet another Premier League team.

Jack Clarke was the target of several bids from Burnley in the summer, which Sunderland handled quite successfully. However, his performance this term has only increased interest.

The winger, who scored 12 goals in 26 Championship games, has drawn interest from many Premier League teams, including Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Brighton.

As teams are ready to move on Clarke during the January transfer window, the Black Cats have already been informed that the “vultures will be circling,” and another club has since entered the competition to sign him.

The Guardian reports that West Ham is currently pursuing Jack Clarke, whom Tony Mowbray once called a “super talent.”

After winning their Europa League group, the Hammers want to close the season well. According to the source, they are searching for replacements because they want to let go of Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals.

After signing a four-year contract of £15,000 per week, 18 months ago, Sunderland has made it clear that they want to keep Clarke on staff. Talks of a new contract have already begun.

Is Jack Clarke ready to leave Sunderland?

Sunderland is now going through a difficult period both on and off the field, and although they are in sixth place, it appears like their prospects of getting promoted are dwindling quickly.

Since we don’t seem like the greatest location for Jack Clarke to be for the next six months, it wouldn’t surprise me if the club’s current circumstances allow him to go.

We are having trouble winning games, we are playing dull football, and the mood within the club is now rather bad.

Although I don’t blame him for going, I also understand that he is essentially our only hope of making it to the postseason. It appears that a deal involving Amad Diallo is off the table, but we might have a better chance if we made a bid for Kieffer Moore.

Though Nazariy Rusyn has played well lately, the forward has been strongly linked to a move to Wearside and would be just what we need up top.

A proven goal scorer would undoubtedly delight Clarke as well, as he appears far removed from matching his record of 12 assists from the last Championship campaign.
