A former Sheffield Wednesday player has ruled out returning to S6, despite being out of contract in the summer.

Several Hillsborough players, like Sam Hutchinson and Connor Wickham, have left the club but later returned.

Fans frequently use to social media to demand that the Owls return for certain players who are either available or free agents.

Saido Berahino was a popular player for Sheffield Wednesday, despite being irritating at times.

He now plays for AEL Limassol in Cyprus, but his contract will expire in the summer.

Saido Berahino asked about a probable comeback to Sheffield Wednesday.

Berahino, now 30, recently had a Q&A on X, where one fan inquired when he will return to Sheffield Wednesday.

Berahino replied, “That chapter is sadly closed!”

Berahino, a former West Brom and Stoke City forward, scored nine goals and assisted four more during his 36 games for the Owls.

Darren Moore, a former West Brom player, brought him to Hillsborough in 2021 after Berahino left The Hawthorns due to a disagreement.

Berahino formerly played for Stoke City and then spent time in Belgium before joining Sheffield Wednesday, where he was released at the end of the 2021/22 season.

Berahino scored four goals in 28 league games for Limassol the previous season before appearing ten times in the current season without scoring.
