Sheffield Wednesday’s England youth international set for Hillsborough stay.

Young Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Jack Hall appears poised to remain with the club next season. Hall, who has been developing at his boyhood club for years, signed his first professional contract with Wednesday in 2021 and has been training with the first team since he was 17.

Recently, the club offered the talented teenager a new contract to extend his stay through the 2023/24 season. According to The Star, terms have been agreed, and Hall is set to continue with Wednesday.

Hall, who has been selected for England youth squads in recent years, has spent considerable time training alongside the senior goalkeepers at Wednesday. With only Pierce Charles currently under contract for next season, Hall may have more opportunities to train with the first team over the summer.

Although Hall has yet to make his first-team debut, he was included in the matchday squad earlier this year, serving as a bench substitute for the FA Cup games against Coventry City in January and February.

As Hall prepares to sign his new deal, it remains uncertain what the immediate plans are for him. He might seek a loan move to gain regular playing time in senior football, following his impressive performances at both U18 and U21 levels.
