Sheffield Wednesday relegation rivals set to face club in injury crisis as quadruple blow revealed

Coventry City manager Mark Robins might have to delve deep into his squad when they face Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday’s fellow relegation contenders, this weekend. Despite their recent loss to Hull City effectively closing the door on playoff aspirations, they’re determined to add to John Eustace’s woes at Ewood Park. However, Coventry’s recent exertions have taken a toll, leaving Robins with a potential shortage of key players.

Fabio Tavares, Victor Torp, Joel Latibeaudiere, and Luis Binks are all battling injuries, prompting Robins to consider tapping into the club’s academy for replacements.

“After Wednesday’s defeat,” Robins explained, “Fabio needs a surgical opinion on his ankle due to ligament damage from an impact during the game. Victor’s torn stomach muscle is causing too much pain for him to play. Binks felt his Achilles at half-time and had to come off, and Latibeaudiere’s calf issue has resurfaced.”

With a tight schedule ahead, including Saturday and Tuesday fixtures, Robins expressed the possibility of relying on young talent to fill the gaps in his squad.
