One ‘amazing’ Sheffield Wednesday player has been touted to make the Premier League.

Sheffield Wednesday successfully avoided relegation and confirmed their Championship status over the weekend.

The Owls hadn’t been out of the bottom three since the season began, but a win over Blackburn Rovers a few weeks ago helped them escape.

With three consecutive wins and a final-day triumph over Sunderland, they ended three points above the relegation zone.

The Yorkshire team’s players, including Josh Windass and Barry Bannan, have received high appreciation for their contributions throughout the campaign’s final phases.

Danny Rohl has received much recognition for his role in the team’s remarkable comeback.

The German joined Wednesday in October when they were seven points behind, giving supporters and the club the opportunity to enjoy travelling to Hillsborough again after a difficult start.

Rohl was previously linked with a move to Sunderland, but Wednesday’s promotion has led to ‘positive’ discussions about his future.

Chris Powell recommends an important player for the ‘Premier League or Bundesliga’

While he may stay in Yorkshire this summer, he could be on route for a much larger post in the future.

In an interview with The Star, assistant coach Chris Powell predicted Rohl will advance to the top level.

“The club has got under my skin, and I love working with him,” Powell stated.

“I believe he has the potential to be a very excellent manager at a higher level, whether in the Premier League or the Bundesliga, or whatever he chooses. I believe he has the makings of that.

“He still has a long way to go, and he will continue to learn. We’ll see where it takes us, but one thing is certain: part one has been accomplished, and we’re still in the Championship. The second part focuses on making progress. I truly hope we can continue on this wonderful adventure; past seven months have been terrific.”

How long can supporters expect Danny Rohl to be around?

Danny Rohl hasn’t said much about his future plans, but he appears to be a dedicated instructor.

The 35-year-old will be aware of Wednesday’s immense potential, and it would be astonishing if they did not finish in the top half next season.

Now that the Owls have avoided relegation and can begin this new period, Rohl may decide to stay until he believes he has done everything possible.

But there is no doubt that he will one day manage in the Premier League or Bundesliga, and his prior stints with Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig will benefit him.

Wednesday will be unable to halt it at that point, while there is always the hope that he will be able to join the Owls in the English top tier.
