James Beadle, a target for Sheffield Wednesday, could have a significant role to play in Brighton & Hove Albion’s preseason this summer.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper had a standout season in 2023/24, initially impressing on loan at Oxford United in League One and then continuing his good form with Sheffield Wednesday in the second half of the season after stepping up a division. Reports from The Star have indicated Wednesday’s eagerness to secure his services for the upcoming season.
Brighton & Hove Albion currently boast promising goalkeeping options, including Carl Rushworth, who is three years older than Beadle and delivered strong performances for Swansea City on loan this past season. Both Beadle and Rushworth are expected to feature prominently in preseason since Bart Verbruggen and Tom McGill will be unavailable due to international duties.
