San Francisco 49ers Star George Kittle Reveals Shocking Injury Details

San Francisco 49ers star tight end George Kittle has been one of the league’s most underrated players for years. He doesn’t receive the same hype that Travis Kelce does for the Kansas City Chiefs, but what he brings to the field is just as impactful for his team.

Despite being an underrated star, Kittle continues to dominate opposing defenses year in and year out.

While the run last season was amazing, Kittle played through a core muscle injury. He didn’t let it show on the field, but he had to undergo surgery this offseason to repair the injury.

In a recent interview on “Bussin’ With The Boys,” Kittle opened up about what he went through following his offseason surgery. He stated that he last 30 pounds throughout the process.

“I couldn’t lift. I couldn’t do any upper body because of my shoulder and my rib, and I couldn’t do lower body because of my core surgery. I didn’t lift from the Super Bowl until like almost mid-March. I went a month without doing anything.“

Thankfully, he is healing and should be good to go for the upcoming 2024 season. The San Francisco 49ers will need him at 100 percent to have a shot at winning the Super Bowl.

During the 2023 campaign, Kittle showed off just how important he is for the 49ers. He ended up catching 65 passes for 1,020 yards and six touchdowns.

Those are huge numbers for a tight end, especially in an offense that also features Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, the San Francisco 49ers are a top contender once again. In order to make a run back to the Super Bowl, the offense will need to put up consistently big production. Kittle and company are ready to attack that task.
