Rotherham United is thrilled to announce that the club’s Centenary Year will be honored throughout the 2025/2026 season, commemorating 100 years since the official formation of Rotherham United Football Club on May 27, 1925.
Addressing recent speculation among fans regarding the celebration plans, the club confirms that preparations are well underway across various departments in anticipation of the club’s 100th anniversary in 2025.
Discussions within the club have already generated several concepts for the centenary celebrations, including the possibility of special commemorative kits to be worn throughout the 2025/26 season and the development of unique brand guidelines for club materials and social media.
Collaboration with kit manufacturing partners Puma Teamwear is also in progress, with a focus on designing iconic commemorative kits within the necessary timeline.
The club emphasizes that this milestone is a celebration of 100 years of football history, encouraging fans to share their ideas on how best to commemorate this significant occasion. Supporters are invited to submit images capturing key moments from the club’s illustrious past, with plans to potentially integrate these images into the centenary plans for the 2025/26 campaign.
Furthermore, discussions are underway regarding the possibility of creating a special retail range tailored for the 100-year anniversary.
