Future stars of Reading FC will take to the field this month.

It sounds like the club is celebrating its Academy’s 25th anniversary by showcasing its young talent during upcoming home matchdays. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule:

1. Saturday, March 9th:
– Youth Groups: Under-7s, Under-8s, and Under-9s
– Event: Wycombe Wanderers visit Berkshire
– Activities:
– Under-7s will be flag bearers before kick-off.
– At half-time, players and coaches from these youth groups will take part in a lap of honour. The Under-9s will display the Pro Academy Series Tournament Trophy they won this season.

2. Saturday, March 26th:
– Youth Groups: Under-13s, Under-14s, and Under-15s
– Event: Cambridge United visit
– Activities: Similar to the first match, these youth groups will participate in pre-match and halftime ceremonies.

3. Saturday, April 6th:
– Youth Groups: Under-10s, Under-11s, and Under-12s
– Event: Royals face Lincoln City
– Activities: The youngest batch of future stars will have their turn to be showcased during the game.

This initiative not only celebrates the Academy’s anniversary but also serves as an opportunity for the young players to experience the atmosphere of a first-team match and for the fans to catch a glimpse of the potential future talent of the club.
