Only “a portion” of the November pay for Reading employees will be paid since the club “has not yet received the necessary funding.”
Owner Dai Yongge has been fighting every month to get the club to fulfill demands while also trying to sell the team.
Gaining consecutive wins and improving on the pitch, the team was forced back into the EFL embargo site due to nonpayment to HMRC.
Employees will only receive a small portion of their outstanding salary, which is due today.
“I regret to inform you that we have not yet received the necessary funding to enable the full payment of wages in its entirety to all employees and casual workers for November 2023,” CEO Dayong Pang wrote in a letter to staff that was obtained by the Reading Chronicle.
