Wouter Gudde, the sports director of Groningen, has provided an update regarding Kevin van Veen, a target for Motherwell and the Rangers.
The Dutch team has stated that they will consider any reasonable offer for the 32-year-old and that they won’t obstruct his departure, as reported by the Scottish Sun on December 25.
In his final 11 games before leaving Motherwell, he scored 14 goals, shattering the record he set the previous season with 29 goals.
“I talk to Kevin almost every day on the phone, and we will listen if there is interest because he is not playing,” Gudde stated.
“We will work with his departure if another club makes a solid offer and the resolution is satisfactory.
“He is welcome to return to the club in principle when we resume training on January 3rd as well.”
Worth taking into account
Rangers could benefit greatly from the Dutchman’s availability, especially considering their current circumstances, which include main striker Danilo out for several months due to injury and backup striker Cyriel Dessers struggling to find the right fit.
