have reached an agreement for a new three-year contract with Ross McCausland, a Northern Ireland international.

Sky Sports claims that Rangers have agreed to a new contract, ending a great deal of speculation about the 20-year-old.

Although the club has not yet made the contract official public, the broadcaster seems fairly certain that Ross McCausland has committed to Ibrox through 2027.

This is in response to press rumors that Rangers were nearing a deal to sign the talented former Linfield player, who has shown promise since joining the team this year.

Prior to the game, Rangers manager Philippe Clement had also suggested that a deal was almost finished.

Rangers agree to a contract with Ross McCausland

Although Ross McCausland made his debut prior to the current campaign, the winger has become a legitimate option in the Rangers lineup this season.

The winger has only missed a game since Philippe Clement took over, missing only the Europa League away to Sparta Prague and the League Cup semi-final victory over Hearts. The winger has played in eight of the club’s last ten games.

During the recent international break, McCausland not only received his first cap for Northern Ireland but also made his club’s debut in the 2-0 victory over Livingston. Rangers are preparing to announce after using the bench in the team’s 1-1 draw with Aberdeen over the weekend.

While Serie A team AS Roma and Premier League team Brentford have both been linked to the player, Sky Sports reports that clubs “across Europe” have been keeping an eye on the player’s circumstances.

Additionally, Rangers have stopped one of their best players from leaving on the £350k development fee that has been mentioned in the media.

Although Rangers’ decision to sign a new contract with such a highly regarded winger is undoubtedly a good thing, it also highlights the

Ross McCausland, who trained at the club’s Academy, will be eligible to play for Rangers in European competition as a homegrown player.

The Scotland squad serves as a stark example of the Ibrox side’s shortcomings, as the club’s difficulties with the UEFA squad registration regulations are well-documented.
