Rousing Danilo Rangers update drops surprise South American transfer hint as deal nears

What a different season it could have been for Rangers if Danilo had been fit throughout.

Injury has hampered the Brazilian striker’s debut season in Glasgow, resulting in only 12 league appearances for Rangers.

Rangers paid Feyenoord £6 million for Danilo, the club’s most expensive transfer from last summer, and the striker proved to be a worthwhile investment during his limited appearances.

However, with a fractured cheekbone and a severe knee injury, money has yet to bring any major return.

Danilo has been seen regaining his form at the Rangers Training Centre. While the season has ended for some, pre-season is well underway for others.

Danilo and Cortes pump up Rangers comebacks.

Danilo, a Rangers striker, shared a footage on Instagram of himself training with Colombian winger Oscar Cortes.

Both South American players had their Rangers careers cut short by injuries and are now rebuilding for next season.

Rangers are reportedly in talks with RC Lens to extend Cortes’ loan deal at Ibrox, while Danilo will remain at the club.

Meanwhile, Danilo and Oscar Cortes are pushing up their fitness returns in preparation for a rigorous Rangers preseason.

Oscar’s presence at the Rangers Training Centre suggests a potential extension of his stay at Ibrox, however this is not confirmed.

Take a look at the terrible scar on Danilo’s left knee, too!
