Rangers leading race for “generational” talent who’s struggling in England

Philippe Clement has had an incredible start at Rangers, being unbeaten after 15 games and only having three draws in that time. He has completely changed the dynamic of the Scottish Premiership title battle. Upon arriving at Ibrox, the former manager of AS Monaco seemed unlikely to be able to halt Celtic from furthering their domination. But fifteen games later, with a game remaining, the Rangers trail Brendan Rodgers’ team by two points.

With one Premier League player apparently being targeted, the Scottish powerhouses may now look to the January transfer window to make sure they capitalize on Clement’s outstanding start and capture their first league title since the 2020–21 campaign.

News about Rangers transfers

Clement’s start is all the more remarkable considering that he hasn’t even had his first transfer window at Rangers yet. Michael Beale left the new manager in charge of a losing team, which he later turned into a potentially winning team. The Gers could grow even better in January when Clement gets his chance to establish himself on the team, particularly if they sign a specific Premier League forward the following month.

It appears that the center midfielder will miss some time due to injuries.

O Jogo claims that the Rangers are in the lead in the competition to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fabio Silva in January. The teenage forward has apparently struggled to establish himself under Gary O’Neil, marking a forgettable chapter in his English career, and the Midlands club is supposedly eager to let him leave.

However, Celtic, who are vying with their Old Firm rivals for Silva’s signature come the winter window, will also be a formidable opponent for Rangers to face. Rangers will be especially eager to defeat Celtic off the field because, should Silva achieve his best form at either club, this transfer might ultimately decide the championship.

“Generational” Silva requires a new beginning.

In September 2020, Wolves approached Silva, who had a reported price tag of £35.6 million, with high hopes that he would be the player to lead the line for the Premier League team. However, things haven’t gone as planned, and Silva’s meagre total of five goals in 72 games indicates that this has been a forgettable time for the 21-year-old.

If you’re in need of a new beginning, joining the Rangers might be the ideal chance. To yet, the Gers have not been able to locate a forward who can match Alfredo Morelos’ production; nevertheless, if Silva were to arrive and find his best form, he could become a force to be reckoned with, virtually securing the Rangers championship. The forward has received a lot of accolades in the past when performing at his best, including from Wolves chairman Jeff Shi.

“Fabio is a young player who shows not only incredible technical ability, but also his game intelligence for a player of his age is top class,” Shi said on the club’s official website following Silva’s arrival. He can enter the game at any time to set up other players or hold the ball up for them to play. His movement and intellect in the penalty area are on par with anyone’s, and he always looks to get into the box. It will be wonderful to watch Fabio grow under Nuno since he has the makings of a generational star. He is the kind of player that our supporters will adore.
