Rangers confirm termination by filing new
In the past 24 hours, Rangers have formally submitted new papers to Companies House, and an Ibrox board overhaul has been confirmed.
Late on Monday, December 4, documents appointing James Taylor as the club’s new secretary were approved and made available.
James Blair’s official termination was also confirmed, and he is no longer associated with Rangers or any other member of the team.
Official paperwork filings often take some time, and Blair departed the club in September.
On September 1, Chris Jack revealed that Blair’s resignation coincided with a number of other noteworthy adjustments made in the boardroom following John Bennett’s nomination as chairman.
Naturally, Taylor is already on board, so that part of the move should go smoothly.
A shift.
This is another one of those things that was probably confirmed a while back but had not yet had official documentation submitted, especially with the AGM and votes happening today.
It is hardly surprising that this has just now surfaced months after Blair’s departure, given Companies House records frequently take some time to become available online once they are filed.
Bennett and the other board members will probably be questioned extensively today about the various matters that need to be resolved at Edmiston House.
With transfer expenditures, both past and future, planned, and other telling issues both on and off the field, James Bisgrove and the chairman will probably be the busiest pair.
With two new appointments that could complete the team in the New Year, things should continue as they are with the board remaining the same.
There will shortly be changes, and more documentation will likely be submitted.
