Phillipe reckons there’s been an overreaction to Fabio Silva’s

According to Philippe Clement, there was an exaggerated response to Fabio Silva’s exaggerated behavior

The Ibrox manager has admitted that he wasn’t amused by some of his striker’s antics during the thrilling Old Firm match on Sunday.

Fabio Silva was kicked by Alistair Johnston leading to a penalty for Rangers on Sunday

However, Clement is even less fond of the way his star has been presented as a diver.
In the contentious VAR penalty flashpoint, Silva was accused of “simulation” by Celtics manager Brendan Rodgers.
Clement made a suggestion that the Hoops coach ought to search closer to home for actions of that nature.
Even though he doesn’t believe it’s a big deal, the Belgian has revealed that he has pulled Silva aside to remind him of how he expects his players to behave in the wake of the 3-3 draw.

“I have trouble with other people talking about my players because I see players on other teams going down a lot too,” Clement remarked.

“Maybe not in this particular game, but frequently in other games. You are all aware of the person I am referring to.

“The managers and referees have a responsibility to remove certain elements from the game.

However, with Fabio, it’s not always justified because, once again, I see people who wear colored glasses, grouping everything together.

“I showed him the two things in the game about which I was unhappy with him.

“He was not strong enough in the duel, and he should have been stronger.” At other times, he was severely kicked.

“After this game, he also has two really deep cuts from the studs in his calves.
“I’ve spoken with him about two instances where he didn’t go down, and there were a few where he could have gone down due to a strong tackle or duel.
However, since Fabio hasn’t been acting in that way in previous games, don’t start crafting a story around him just yet, despite what some on the opposing side are attempting to do.
“At first, he was a sensitive young man. Yes, he is twenty-one, but things are only getting better. I was not pleased with him for two of his acts. I discussed those with him, so that won’t occur again.
Clement, the manager of the Gers, brought up Silva’s tendency to overreact to certain challenges.
The Portuguese star embarrassed himself on the field by writhing around after making little to no contact.
However, Alistair Johnston DID catch him on the knee during the most talked-about play of the game, and he was tripped inside the Hoops box, regardless of whether he had been play-acting or not.

“Only if you have colored glasses you say it’s not a penalty,” Clement continued.
“I watch the Ref Watch on Sky Sports, and Dermot Gallagher, who is neutral—I’m not sure if that makes him a Celtic favorite or not—says unequivocally that it is a penalty.

Additionally, every scenario in the game was obvious.

“It also disappoints me when they give up more than ten seconds after we score a goal.

“You can also discuss the fact that Celtic’s defender touched the ball first; in that case, you could consider it a novel move.

“However, I said nothing at all about that.

Therefore, since Fabio was kicked in the knee, don’t write anything negative about that incident on him.

Well, that’s the truth. It carries a penalty.

It was Fabio’s first Old Firm as well. These are typical things because he is young and this is the first time in this circumstance.

“This will make him stronger,” We had a great conversation.

“I showed him the screenshots from the game, and now he gets it.

However, this is just another step in his evolution to get stronger both as a player and a person. For him, those are the fascinating lessons.

According to Clement, Silva was wrongly booked for diving in Sunday’s thrilling match because of his previous antics.

However, he places no blame on the whistleblower for that. That’s what I told him too, and it’s also human nature,” he remarked.

“Referees must always take a moment at a time, but they are also human.

“That’s also how I am. I don’t whistle for a foul quickly during practice because I want my players to be ready to keep playing and not stop.

“Fabio handled it well, and it’s helping him become a better player once more.

“I’m sure it will benefit him for the rest of his career.”

Beaton made three crucial errors in the game and, in my opinion, had a rough day at work.

Clement, however, disagrees, saying, “I think being a referee now is teamwork.”

“Have any of you refereed a game before? I’m not making this up. Perhaps in the future, journalists could participate in a ten-minute game, though hopefully not a competitive one.

Being in that position every day has made me more understanding of it since you have to be at the proper angle to see everything, and it goes by quickly.

“We are fortunate to have access to all of the cameras, views, and replays following the game.

“It is incredibly difficult for them to make the perfect decision every time.

It is not feasible to observe every detail on the field in a moment. It could be their lucky day.

In that sense, VAR is there to assist. The emphasis is growing on teamwork. The shrinkage of this gray area is beneficial.

In a letter to the SFA, Celtic requested “clarification” regarding the penalty flashpoint; however, Clement dismissed their concerns.

“I have no comments regarding what Celtic want to do,” he stated. They are free to do as they please.

“We had a few topics we could talk about and share our opinions on.

However, the VAR and the referee in that game performed well overall.

“I have been saying for weeks and months that I’m not happy with the handball rule.
