In an attempt to bolster their roster, Rangers are said to have scouted left-backs Kai Wagner and Fredrik Oppegard.

Wolves forward Fabio Silva will officially join the Light Blues on loan for the duration of the season when the transfer window opens. Silva was named the Light Blues’ first January acquisition yesterday. Philippe Clement moved from forward to left back after acquiring a forward.

While Borna Barisic’s deal ends in the summer, Ridvan Yilmaz is likely to depart next month as the Belgian looks to bolster that position and add another player to challenge the Croatian. Furthermore, according to the Daily Record, the team is scouting Wagner, who plays for the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer, and Oppegard of PSV.

Oppegard, who is 21 years old, has primarily participated in games for PSV’s second team while making rare starts for the first team. Before relocating to the US, 26-year-old German player Wagner was a member of the Shalke II and Würzburger Kickers.

The opportunity to compete in the Europa League playoffs drew Silva to the Rangers, and despite stiff competition, the team managed to sign him.

It’s unclear if Clement intends to add more players to his striking department, but the 21-year-old can play through the middle or in the wide area.
