Kris Boyd Criticizes Rangers Star Over Performance in Win Against St Mirren, ‘what has he done?’.

Kris Boyd expressed disappointment with Fabio Silva’s performance despite Rangers’ 2-1 win against St Mirren on Sunday. Philippe Clement’s team started strongly with an own goal forced by Dujon Sterling, but Mikael Mandron quickly equalized. Cyriel Dessers sealed the victory with a simple header.

Boyd, speaking on Sky Sports Football, criticized Silva for what he saw as another ineffective outing. Silva, on loan from Wolves, has scored only four goals since joining Rangers in January.

He has been frequently criticized for going down too easily and received scrutiny for appealing for a penalty in this match. Although Clement included him in the starting lineup, Silva managed just 29 touches before being substituted for Ross McCausland at 56 minutes.

Despite a 71 percent pass accuracy, Silva failed to complete any dribbles or register shots on target, raising doubts about his attacking contribution. Playing on the left, he also struggled defensively, winning only one out of six ground duels and no aerial duels. Boyd’s questioning of Silva’s impact remains valid given his performance.
