Rangers updates while a doctor consults Oscar Cortes’s medical ruling when the transfer status is revealed
We are pleased to have Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist on injuries, as our featured columnist. He will share his opinions on the Rangers’ injury status every week.
Despite a knee injury earlier in the season, Lens winger Oscar Cortes is set to pass his Rangers physical, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury specialist talked about the knee problem he had in November that troubled him and prevented him from playing in a few games.
In addition, he has only played 40 minutes in four league games for the first team, which is insufficient game time. [Who Scored]
Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar, who spoke exclusively to Ibrox News about his plight, stated:
“He missed a couple games in November due to a persistent thigh strain that he was experiencing.
In addition, there’s the matter of his insufficient senior game play, which is a legitimate worry but nothing to be alarmed about.
“There’s probably no need to worry about it, and there are no indications that Rangers will experience any problems that would impede the transfer.
“It’s merely a young athlete getting back into shape following a muscular strain that has reduced his playing time.
“I wouldn’t anticipate any problems with the medical either.”
On January 29, a journalist from W Radio Colombia Pipe Sierra tweeted that, pending a medical clearance, the 20-year-old would be going on loan to Ibrox until the end of the season.
Despite being new to the team this season, Cortes has already scored a goal and provided an assist in 40 minutes of action.
He will be the third signing this month at Ibrox, with Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande walking through the door as well.
