Gers Chairman’s contract claim might mean the end for the international pair following the revelation about twin transfer targets.

In only a few weeks, the transfer window will reopen, and hopefully, Philippe Clement will receive the financial support he requires to bolster Rangers.

The players on a team that the manager of the Gers has called imbalanced need to go, but where there is a lack of depth and talent, reinforcements need to be made.

According to a previous transfer rumor, Philippe Clement prioritized a left-back and a striker, and this week’s remarks from chairman John Bennett seem to confirm this.

Philippe Clement may leave Rangers after a few lucrative seasons.

On the surface, it looks like there are too many midfielders, not enough wingers, and not enough strikers or goal scorers of the kind that is needed.

Although both Borna Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz are international defenders, you might debate their suitability as left backs.

However, this is the point at when Pete O’Rourke, a former Sky Sports reporter, said in a report that Philippe Clement was trying to bolster the Rangers’ left-back and striker positions.

Despite the team’s size, remarks made during the AGM indicate that this might be improved after Bennett discussed how a rebuild might also be built around the players whose contracts expire at the end of the season.

Whose contract expires at the end of this season?

Borna Barisic and Kemar Roofe.

Two veteran players, two internationals, and both earning large salaries.

It is somewhat of a coincidence, but it could also be the case that two plus two equals five.

Given that both players seem to have reached the end of their careers at Ibrox, is it possible that Philippe Clement would rebuild the Rangers team while keeping the two players in their 30s?

The manager has been frustrated in recent weeks by the depth of the team, especially considering that Roofe and Barisic both have injury histories that aren’t expected to get better as they age.

There’s no mistake about it: Clement lacks the emotion of his predecessor and has no qualms about releasing anybody he has the least worry about.
