7 Rangers players who could leave in January transfer window as Philippe Clement puts stamp on squad

Fabio Silva will formally join Rangers on loan when the window opens, making him the team’s first January acquisition. There will be more after this.

Additionally, it was Philippe Clement’s first acquisition since taking the helm, and he intends to leave his mark on the team. Although Michael Beale spent millions of dollars in the summer, there won’t be any significant changes, but Govan would undoubtedly welcome a few top-notch additions.

The Belgian is rumored to be considering a left-back position as well, and any new additions may open up some time off. Some are already on the periphery, and adding more players to the team could make them unnecessary.

Robbie McCrorie

The 25-year-old would need to play games if he wanted to have a real chance of representing Scotland at the summer’s Euros.

With Jack Butland in charge, that is not going to occur, and McCrorie has already expressed a desire to play more.

Given his high rating at Rangers, a loan would be the most likely option, with a decision regarding his longer-term future to be made in the summer.

Yilmaz Ridvan

The Turk has apparently been told he can find a new club despite his recent game action, and Clement is rumored to be eager to improve at left-back.

It does seem like a smart move, even though Borna Barisic isn’t the player he once was and Yilmaz still hasn’t been able to challenge him.

In the summer, the Croat’s contract expires.

King Leon

Another young Scottish player, highly regarded at Ibrox, isn’t getting the opportunities he needs to further his career.

Several teams in Scotland and England would be delighted to have him if he were permitted to go on loan.

Dowell Kieran

Similar to Yilmaz, Dowell has been active lately, but there had been rumors in the past that Clement was content to let the Englishman go.

Although midfield injuries may have altered the situation, the Norwich player’s departure is probably not totally ruled out.

Scott Wright

was close to quitting in the summer, and even though he has since had opportunities in the starting lineup, he is still largely in the background.

Since Fabio Silva has already been added to the forward position, Wright’s chances of making the squad may decrease.

Scott Wright

One more who would be in great demand.

Matondo, Rabbi

started one match under Clement’s direction and, against Dundee, was hooked by halftime.

It might be a straight fight between Wright and him over who gets to stay on the wing as an option or who gets cut.

demonstrated his abilities with a noteworthy victory in Betis. Sadly, a few days later, broke down with another injury.

One of the problems Clement mentioned was injuries, and the Jamaican simply isn’t available enough given the Silva signing, which pushes him even further out.

Finding a team willing to take a player who is prone to injuries on a high salary could be a challenge.
